Is it possible to add forced subtitles to a Blu-Ray 1080p project? I see the option to add subtitles in the project window but I do not know if these are forced or not? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

Yes you can, see the settings, section Subtitles, and check "add an additional subtitle track with forced subtitles"

Thanks for the info. So does that mean when that is checked any subtitle I add to the project window will be forced? I don't have to add it in a different section of the program to make it forced?

Ok I tried and checked the box and the subtitles are not hardcoded or forced on the Blu-Ray after conversion. What am I doing wrong? I am converting a 1080p MKV file to 1080p Blu-Ray. I add the subtitle track but have to select it whenever I start the movie. Does the forced subtitle thing not work with Blu-Ray output? Please help. I did as you instructed and clicked the box but final conversion is not forced subtitles. Here is the log:

Hello,

By default subtitles when using the Blu-ray structure conversion profile are soft subtitles,
create a custom profile and make it just like the Blu-ray structure but select embed subtitles in the last step and that should solve the problem.
