I have a lot of music DVDs and VSO DVD Converter only shows one single entry for all songs (chapters).

In VSO Player I can jump chapters (songs) forward/backwards.

How to rip each chapter (song) from an entry into single .mp4 files?

Currently from 20 music DVDs I was only able to rip 5 DVDs. 15 DVDs contain one track, all songs separated by chapter.

DVD has so much space that filling it with music requires combining songs to tracks.
It can have 99 tracks with 99 chapters each. If no chapters are used, then limit is 99 songs. 99 * 5Mb (average mp3 file) does not even fill a CD.

To rip those songs you need software that can rip chapters separately.

At first I've bought VSO Video Converter - and I was not able to rip all (from a blu-ray). Someone told me that only that the Blu-Ray ripper can read all files.

I started ripping the music DVDs and the first DVD was one where each song is a track. I didn't know that other (3/4 in my case) music DVDs are using chapters to separate songs. So during the test I never noticed that.

I've thought DVD Converter can read all files - and finally now I have to buy another ripping software?

Is there a plan that VSO DVD converter will support ripping chapters into single (mp4) files? It's definitely a missing point against some other ripping software.

I do not know about VSO:s plans on this, but you can save whole tracks and manually split them later with Audacity or any free audio tool.

We’ve entered this as a feature request http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=9112. It is not high on our priority list but it will probably be implemented at some time.

I think it would be a killer feature against all the other ripping software. Currently I only know one ripping software which supports it but I don't like it (GUI and support isn't as good as here, etc.).

Before I continue - regarding my other feature request which has been implemented with the latest betas "output folder specification in profile" (THANKS A LOT - THAT WAS REALLY FAST!):

When more files will be ripped (main film, bonuses), all will be stored in the root of this! The next DVD/BR - the same folder => all in one folder! This is not really useable!

I'm missing the additional drop down box "output folder generation method" or if the 3rd option (project name + format) isn't useful here, only a marker/selection box for "add project name in path" in the profile. However - keep the child option (profile) like the parent (general) ;-)

AND ... the killer feature:

An additional marker/selection box "split chapters into single files" below the option above! Simply add " (chapternumber)" to the file name.

Then I can start to rip my over 100 music DVDs (and more to come). Music videos are really required for djing.
