Is it possible to display on the encoding clips whether it's using Hardware Encoding (and which type) or Software Encoding. Can you also put a quick toggle button to turn On/Off Hardware Decoding without going into the settings ? Thanks.

Hello windale,
I think it's a good idea. It's very useful in determining which is faster for a person's system. It's ultimately up to VSO to implement it, and if they do decided to, it'll be low priority. Still, a good idea.
Thanks for reading,

@windale
I take this to mean depending on your conversion projects you will use or not use hardware encoding/decoding options?
I would think once user finds out what is best for his/her PC they leave these settings alone.

Feature request(s) added in last beta version (1.5.0.33):
- encoding mode (QuickSync, NVENC, Cuda, Software) displayed in tree while encoding
- added a button in setting window to enable/disable hardware optimizations quickly.
Thank you for your suggestions...

Well I did actually say a 'Quick Shortcut' button so you wouldn't have to go through the settings (i.e. on the main encoding window). It's not much of a "Quick Shortcut" when you have to go through the settings menu still, but thanks anyway.

Hardware encoder setting is only used:
- when user have hardware encoder available
- user encode to H264
So, it don't have his place in main interface...
