Windows 10 Preview.

VSO Downloader with EVE driver won't install on Windows 10 Preview, continual error. Reboots or Help files give no fix. Any ideas?

EVE driver cannot detect compatible NIC.

Using Surface Pro 2

VSO/EVE install worked with the first releases of Windows 10, just not the last 2 releases.

Confirm, gives these errors:
WinX.jpg
WinX2.jpg
But this is not a priority as Win 10 is far from being ready, they will most likely change code several times before it is ready for release.
With current version I can't even run Chrome properly, Firefox works.

Use the WinpCap driver instead.

can you display the logs of the NICs, you have an installation error with EVE but no error for Winpcap?

there is an error with the device name, by now if it works with Winpcap driver you don't need to install EVE driver.
We are working on a proxy solution that may replace the EVE driver and we expect to support the SSL protocol with it.

Sadly it does not.
Installing without EVE gives no errors, but starting Downloader gives this:

Then going to settings to select WinPcap:

in the log (help > main log) you have a node named "NIC manager" that report all the analyze, do you see something suspect?

Oracle VM Virtualbox - it is free.
Windows 10 Technical preview is the latest, with all updates. Can be downloaded from Microsoft for free.
