Fails to see the drive

I just installed ConvertxtoHD and I can't get it to recognize the dvd burning drive.
Please help

If you created and Blu-ray structure, you must have a blu-ray burner and blank blu-ray disk.
If you don't have the above then convert your project again but simply select the AVCHD output format in the Default settings / Output format / Structure type and the DVD output in Encoding / Target Size, this way you can burn to DVD.

Okay, 2 years later and I am still having this problem. This time, it is a different PC and I have gone through version 5, 6 and now 7 and CONVERTXTODVD still will not recognize my burner. I have to convert it on this PC (much faster than my other PC) and then burn it on the other PC with CONVERTXTODVD that does recognize my DVD burner.
Someone please help

Much more information is needed.
What is brand and model of drive?
Can that drive be seen in Windows? - what does windows report it to be?
Does it show in CxD log?
