Weird ver. 1.6.0.23 crashing

I purchased the software yesterday, so far I've scanned through the FAQ and the Forums as best I could. The issue I'm having is that when I open the Advanced Edit window for any video and try to choose the track I want to edit, the program will crash. Here's the weird part to me, if I start the preview (even just a couple seconds of it), everything works no problem, no crash. I'm Using Win 10 Home x64 if that helps at all.
