5.0.0.21 let me download more videos and music then the old versions, thanks for the update.
It will still not downloading every video but its better.

How do i make sure if VSO is downloading in 1080 or higher?

you have a summary about the media streams in the log (during download you can also check the hint of the item).

Version 5 beta 5.0.0.22 works very well but only on automatic detection, it also download the clip 2 times, very weird.
Is there a way to manual download music clips with copy past links?

No there is no way to copy and paste the URLs. You can download the resolution you want by changing the resolution the video is playing in and VSO Downloader will pick that up.

All I'm getting is a bunch of part, dat, and ts files none of which are viewable.

Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

New version 5 beta 5.0.0.39

Hi, I have just tried this on the BBC iplayer with a browser without Flash.
The video is then replayed in HTML5/Dash.
Downloader is detecting and downloading each segment separately, no compilation of the segments.

As you know, FLASH is being disabled by default by most browsers now, so once BBC drops FLASH replay we will have no solution.

Hope you are working in anticipation of this change.

The URL to access the bbc iplayer is http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer.

To reproduce the condition:
- You need to access using a browser without FLASH
- And you need a UK IP otherwise you will be told content is not available.

Then when you play any selected content, you will see the situation I already reported when Downloader starts detecting.

BBC uses a custom implementation it is not yet supported but it will be in a few weeks.
