VSO downloader gets video but not subtitles

VSO Downloader 4.5.0.17 successfully downloads the video and audio of a subtitled youtube video, but leaves the subtitles behind. You get all three items (video, audio, and subtitles) if you watch directly on youtube. Is there a switch to enable downloading of subtitles along with video and audio? Or is this a bug?
