Hi,
I'm not sure if it is correct what I post here but finally I don't understand it - maybe someone can explain it:
I just remux a blu-ray with VC-1 codec and save it as MKV, remux video, audio, subtitle and finally the MKV file has this:
Code: Select all
Frame rate : 24.000 FPS
Original frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS
So why does this happen? I didn't watch the film yet but is the film correct? I have to give it back on Monday so ...
I can not rip the VC-1 codec and save it as .m2ts because remux doesn't work and re-encoding with H264 takes very long (5 hours).
On the BR in BDMV / stream the biggest .m2ts file shows:
Code: Select all
ID : 4113 (0x1011)
Menu ID : 1 (0x1)
Format : VC-1
Format profile : Advanced@L3
Codec ID : 234
Duration : 2 h 32 min
Bit rate : 18.3 Mb/s
Width : 1 920 pixels
Height : 1 080 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Compression mode : Lossy
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.369
Stream size : 19.5 GiB (63%)
and the final MKV file shows
Code: Select all
ID : 1
Format : VC-1
Format profile : Advanced@L3
Codec ID : V_MS/VFW/FOURCC / WVC1
Codec ID/Hint : Microsoft
Duration : 2 h 32 min
Bit rate : 17.2 Mb/s
Width : 1 920 pixels
Height : 1 080 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate mode : Constant
Frame rate : 24.000 FPS
Original frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Compression mode : Lossy
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.347
Stream size : 18.4 GiB (93%)
Default : Yes
Forced : No
Track/Position : 0
I've used BR converter 4.0.0.47.
Thanks for helping.
