Is HEVC aka H265 out now ?? Or I NEVER buy again. ... WHY ???

4K movies of 50GB-90GB // needs better equipment, to lower memory.

I've tried to burn a 4K movie with H264.

It asks for: DOUBLE-LAYER. I've putted-in then a DOUBLE-LAYER DISK.

Between those 2 LAYERS, it's CRASHES.
1) Crashes on RECORDING
2) Crashes on playing ....

Double-Layers disks, should be AVOIDED, ON ALLLL COSTS ççç
BUNCH of CRAP

Only HEVC aka H265, seems to be the only solution, we can get.

It HALVES the memory !!!! 50% less
I don't mind, burning a 4K movie SPLITTED onto 2 BluRay disks.

2 times 90 minutes / 4K movie = 180 minutes. = 3 hours of 4K movie.
Cost only 2 standard Bluray disks of 25GB. Price is like around: 5 euro's.

Buy 4K movie original =30 euro's. 6x more expensive.

With H265, you can make double recordings, for same memory used.

Ok, maybe like this: A movie of 180 minutes (3 hours)
I would not mind using 2 disks for it.

But we NEED HEVC/H265 for it.

With H264, WE NEED 3 DISKS èèèèkkkkkkkk

We are working on encoding with h265. We hope a version should be available late summer or for the fall.

Finally a reply from VSO regarding adding encoding support for HEVC/H265. The request for this have been around since early 2014. Many other softwares have been rather quick to add HEVC encoding support but not VSO. It would be rather nice to hear why this haven't been a 'priority' for VSO.

And after 10 months still no HEV/H265?

Just giving this a 2018 Bump, was hoping to see it in 2017.

H.265 is a must-have for DVD/Bluray ripping and Video Convertering! Please...

It will probably never come. Almost 3 years since last word about this. The rest of the world has moved on........ VSO?????

You are right. It has been a rough time for VSO... We lost most of our team, from 10 employees to one... But we are back on track!
I joined the team four months ago, and the devs (which by the way, are about to welcome a new member!) are working on the 64bit versions for all our products. (right now, will soon post a picture on the forum I think!)

Features to come with this next version: 4k, x265HEVC, UHD, better color depth...

That one is one of "clever" spammers, just posting normally and using signature with links.
