Video playing

Hello. I have a early version 3 of vso downloader. When downloading a video I am not capable of watching while it's downloading. I used to be able to but I switched computer and now it won't play until downloading is complete. I have tried many video players. I like version 3 because if I need to reboot the download starts back up when I open downloader. It does this on live stream. Any idea why I can't watch my downloads? Thanks ..Crash..
