When converting a DVD to an mkv for example with H264
Under settings i either use a preset folder, or ask upon conversion. With the intent for the converted file to be DIRECTLY in that folder
For example.
Movie called "Doggys playing" as disc volume name
Main title: "Doggys playing - feature video"
Settings: Preset directory > \AVI films\D\Doggy's Playing
filetype: H264 MKV
Temp directory: H:\Temp
Expected result:
\AVI films\D\Doggy's Playing\Doggy's playing.mkv
Temp files: *.mkv and *.mkv.muxcache in the H:\Temp folder during encoding
ACTUAL RESULT
Temp files are placed in: \AVI films\D\Doggy's Playing\MKV (H264 + AAC)\
End result: Output file in \AVI films\D\Doggy's Playing\MKV (H264 + AAC)\Doggy's playing.mkv and not \AVI films\D\Doggy's Playing\Doggy's playing.mkv
During conversion that \H264 subfolder contains the "empty" mkv file and .muxcache file. What's the point of specifying a temp folder, if the program doesn't stick to it, but rather creates a subfolder based on the video codec? and only puts the final file in the desired folder
Notice the extra H264 folder? This is extremely annoying (at least to me) and even more because i use my PC as a streamer with plex media server. In order to preserve proper/clean file structure and be able to have plex load the proper meta info i have to move that file from that extra H264 directory 1 folder up into the desired folder (where it should have been in the first place) and then delete that H264 folder
Can something please be done to change that annoying behavior. When a user asks to output the file into a specific folder, that it's actually put there and not in an extra subfolder?
