Format 1,85:1.

Hello.
The program seems to crop a bit the image so it is cut in both sides, please see a picture of the full image and another of how ConvertXtoDVD records it.
Is it me that I'm doing it wrong?

Yes! This version works fine, thanks a lot!
But now I have another problem, I don't know if you can help me in this same topic or should open a new one.
The subtitles (not burned, just added but turnable on/off) have quite a bad quality. The preview seems fine but the final output doesn't look like that at all. Please see the two screens to compare.
Can you help again?

If you are checking subtitles on computer then usually your screen has much better resolution than DVD and players on PC smooth subtitles.
Any computer now has at least 1366 pixels wide screen but DVD has only 720 pixels.
Careful selecting on font and size might give slightly better result but might be impossible to get really clean subtitle on DVD playback.

All the original DVDs I have show perfect subtitles in the TV.
If I just play the MP4 with the .srt files in an USB in the TV, they are fine.
The same film "created" with another program is OK (see picture).
It has nothing to do with the resolution.
It is only when ConvertXtoDVD does the conversion when they get pixelled.

Yes, they are designed to be used in DVD. Commercial DVDs usually have subtitles as "subpictures" that are ovelayed on top so they have minimal distortion.

Of course they are. Your TV has better resolution than DVD. Any modern TV now has FullHD.

Can you turn off those subtitles? If not, then they are hardcoded in picture. Same can be done with CxD7 and they look perfect.

Sadly it has everything to do with resolution. You simply can not get smooth edges if there is not enough pixels.

Your best bet is to use a font which has minimum curves. Try different fonts.
