with v3.0.0.74 I got the same error. Something has been changed with the folder detection/"creation" (error message folder ") since version update.

I use the previous v3.0.0.73 to avoid this problem.

Maybe it will help you.

Thanks but I've trying with version v3.0.0.73 and I've the memory leak bug
My conversion is 12 files (1 Gb each) with custom series menu.
Always the same file in error.
Please developper team can you help me ? I really like this software



Edit : I did these actions without success :
Uninstall, reboot, Install => Fail
Without Menu : Fail
With administrator privilege => Fail
With another folder => Fail
With only the file who was in error => Fail
With version v3.0.0.71 => Fail at the end of the conversion of my 12 files with memory leak error but all file are encoded successfully

h265 is not yet supported by ConvertXtoHD.

We're currently porting our video engine to a 64bit version that will fix this issue and remove all 32 bits limitations (support higher resolutions, bigger working buffers ...etc).

In the meantime, you can use this little tool to make your h265 videos compatible with ConvertXtoHD

Does this tool affect the quality of h265 file? The ouput h264 file still has the same quality as the h265 file, doesn't it?

I was quite disappointed with the results of this tool from an H265 source - blocky and pixelated in my H264 result. It's apparently a "one-click" GUI which doesn't give one the opportunity to tweak parameters to try for a better result - however, since it calls FFMPEG one could theoretically tweak a config file somewhere (I didn't explore that) or manually pass to FFMPEG at command prompt with more exact/specific settings. Subtitle streams were stripped out (there are tools to get those and save and remux it back in). All in all, disappointing, and more disappointing that the flagship VSO product won't support H265 directly although I've seen the posts on this board, of course, about limited developers and devoting time to other products.

I've been using the free VSDC Video Editor for a few years on stubborn files ConvertXtoHD won't handle and exporting to H264 with it ("Ultra" quality) and got much better results on my test file vs the VSO "single-click" tool.
