[ConvertXtoDVD 5] Subtitles not formatting as specified

The subtitles on the DVD do not follow the specs I input. Rather, they are tiny and unreadable no matter how I set them up in the subtitle tab. Image A shows the way I want the subs to appear. Image B is a screenshot which shows how they appear on the burned DVD. This is in Windows 7 using ConvertX 5.

Cxd 5 and Win 7 - both old and unsupported.
Someone might have a trick to solve this but I doubt it as lot of subtitle issues were fixed with newer versions.
