I'm not sure why but a lot of the project I burn using convertxtodvd 7.0.0.78 the video often stops and start's and I'm not sure why.
Can anyone please tell me the common problems as to why this happens.
I'm running Windows 10 on an ASUS Z390-P motherboard and the DVD drive is an ASUS DRW-24B3ST.
The DVD drive is fairly new and has only been used to burn about 20 disc's,I have had these problems in the past but I'm not sure what's causing this problem.
These are the dvd's here that I'm using,Ican also get HP disc's normally but the place I get them from was out of stock so I got Prodisc's.

Hello,
Common reasons: https://www.vso-software.fr/faq.php#question_technical1
You can also send your log report to VSO to check if there are any problems during the burning.
You need to click on "help/tools" on the toolbar of your program, then on "vso support center", fill in the form and submit.

Have you tried creating VIDEO_TS output to HDD and opening VIDEO_TS.IFO in playback software on your PC? Do you still get skips and jumps in playback then? If you don't, then it's the discs you're using or your drive is not burning those discs properly.
Have you tried playing these burnt discs in both a standalone DVD player and your DVD drive on your PC? Do you gets skips and playback on your PC? If you do, then you can pretty much guess it's the discs or the drive didn't burn them properly.

Hi,
I would try those: https://www.malelo.com/Taiyo-Yuden-DVD- ... t600sk.htm
Taiyo Yuden
Hopefully the “Media ID: are TYG02 or TYG03
I use those or Verbatim…
Media ID shou be present in your burn logs.
If it’s starts with CMC my opinion is they are bad quality…

I was not aware the burn logs displays the MID/DID, but if you do see a Disc ID that has CMC in it, those are CMC Magnetics discs. They are the absolute bottom of the barrel manufacturer. Their discs cause a lot of problems.
If you are going to use Verbatim, be sure you use the RIGHT Verbatim as CMC Magnetics Corporation now owns Verbatim. They will use CMC disc in the Verbatim Life Series you find in brick and mortar stores. You will want the DataLife Plus (NOT the Life Series!) series or discs labeled AZO, which you will only find in online stores like Amazon.

Try doing clean reinstall with ConvertXtoDVD 7.0.0.79 - released Wed February 8, 2023. It is here https://www.vso-software.fr/products/co ... istory.php
Check burn settings, make sure they are set as low as possible. And to be sure, next one you do, do not put disk in until the computer prompts you, and then watch the burn speed it selects, and manually change this to lowest speed option it gives you. Once completed, change the burn options to this speed that worked OK. I only use cheap disks and rarely have burn problems once I have optimized the burners and disks write speeds to slowest possible.
