Status says: Loading menu template #18 - 'Series &TV Episodes)'
Program remains unusable.

Curious: Does it do it with ANY loaded videos, or only happens with certain (Specific videos are loaded) ?

I will try to see if I can reproduce it

Ensure you are using v7.0.0.83 (Latest)

STEP by STEP tells us what you do, print screens too if you can !

STEP 1: I start the software
STEP 2: I load 2 videos (Music 101.mp4 / Music 102.mp4)
STEP 3: I select this menu then click here etc....

I simply start the application and it shows that message in the status bar at the bottom like it's stuck loading a menu.
Can't click on the window
Can't drop files
Using 7.0.0.81

Just did a clean install of *.83 and same problem

You have always "loading menu" written at the bottom when ConvertXtoDVD opens.
What happens if you click on "file" - "add video file" ?

As long as I don't click the main window, like drag and drop files, the game won't freeze and require a hard shutdown.
I can go to the menu File > Add Video

I tried to reproduce - and it happens if there comes Update-check window, that hangs program completely.
When that is not coming there is no problem. From this view clicking on main window, no problems, clicking "+" opens file browser and everything works.

I can downgrade to an older version with an .exe installer & try to reproduce later…

Even using the method of adding from a file the program still goes unresponsive and ultimately closes.

Could be some sort of hardware fault with your computer causing the issue. Has VSO seen the logs?

I tried a few things but cannot reproduce this issue (for now)

Just all of a sudden after 4 years of using this software, suddenly I have a hardware issue? No VSO hasn't seen the logs. My next step is support.

Update: I did a remote with support and they indicated that the file I was trying to convert had a codec which wouldn't allow the software to work. I had, however, converted 70 odd files of exactly the same type just the previuos week. I've still got the "Loading Menu template #18" -Series (TV Episodes) showing on the bottom of the interface. They've got a problem and I hope they fix it fast.
