I have been using ConvertXtoDVD for a very long time, but I haven't messed with any of the basic settings. All's good. Just a quick ? Under Conversion Processes there are three things listed. Wondering if I should change settings on any of them. Would it speed up anything? I usually try to make just one DVD (conversion) at a time.

1) Maximum Simultaneous Conversion - Default setting is = 16
2) Minimum Free Memory (MB) - Default setting is = 200
3) Multicore Processor: Max number of used Core(s) - Default setting is = 16

Maximum simultaneous conversion - the number of conversions that can be performed at the same time. As ConvertXtoDVD is a 32bit software currently, it cannot use a lot of RAM, so this number should not be high, otherwise there may be "out of ram" errors. It is recommended to set no more than 4.
Soon the 64bit version of the software will be released and this number may be higher.

Minimum Free Memory - the amount of RAM that the software must leave free so that other tasks can be performed on the computer at the same time. We set 200 MB so that the software can use almost all the RAM available for it, but there is still some left over just in case.

Max number of used cores - it depends on your machine, apparently you have a processor with 8 cores, so you can use 8 cores maximum.

As stated, those 'numbers' were set by the program, but I have now changed them per your suggestion.

4 is a good suggestion for the number of simultaneous open instances of CXD performing conversions. I've had 5 running simultaneously before, but the system slowed to a crawl, so I set it back to 4.
