Beta 7.5.0.131
Been testing with standard videos during the week, and all ok. Although no quicker than 32bit.
Today tried two videos a 1080p x265 10bit and a 2160p/4K
Great results, converted to DVD with no issues at all.

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Good morning yoyo57,
There is a bug that was reported to VSO.
1st video loaded ALWAYS ends up in 4:3 ratio.
Did you notice this ?
I loaded the same video twice, 1st entry was 4:3 and 2nd 16:9 as expected.
Now about the speed issue.
Are you loading viles manually OR you are opening/loading projects then convert ?
There is a speed issue loading files from project.
Load the files manually, ensure all your hardware tests were done, and you should see it much quicker than the 32 bits.
To prove it, do this…
Load 1 or 2 files,and SAVE IT in a project…
Start ConvertXtoDVD fresh and LOAD that project
Or double click on you project.
Convert and pay attention to the fps speed for each file (average) after a few minutes STOP, should be enough to see max fps.
Start ConvertXtoDVD fresh again.
Load the SAME files manually and convert.
Do you notice a huge speed difference now ? (Depends also on the codecs and video card)
The fps speed should be much higher ? ! ? !

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Morning.
On two disks that each had 3 different videos. Each video outputted at 16:9 as expected. The videos are long, each one around 90 minutes long. So long project.
Hardware tests were done, and I load each file manually individually.
On the other points, I'll check them in a couple of days.
Thanks again, much appreciated.

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Hello,
UPDATE !
========
I always test with the same little videos so tests run fast !
I have this issue with the Dancing Cats, re-produced over and over on 2 machines ...
With this said, it seems I cannot reproduce this speed issue with regular full episodes/movies !
So please test with the Dancing Cat 01 / 02 / 03 to see WHY those videos has this issue and not others ...
Comments added to the bug site....
I guess this should NOT be an issue for most people, just no idea why these little videos get HUGE speed hit on testing....

Love the cat videos!
Results below comparing:
first - loading of 3 files individually
second - project of the 3 files
To me the results are the same, makes no difference

WHAT is going on !
Even with those 3 videos, I cannot reproduce it this morning !!!
I wanted to ensure the hardware decoding was used and it does all the time, Project or Manual etc...
Something must have changed that resolved it with Build 130-131 etc...

I might install an OLD Build and see if I can reproduce it (Again)08:06:18.705 Info Using Hardware decoder CUDA from NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, #2

We've published a new build that should fix the problem. It's available here:Cougar_II wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 11:53 am

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Hi,
Just wanted to let you know I can reproduce this (with at least 7.5.0.131).
Whenever I start a new project and add a new file to convert, the format always defaults to NTSC, even if I have set the default to PAL in the settings (default settings -> output format). However, when I then click on 'Default Settings', and then click on 'OK' without actually changing anything, I get a pop up that says 'some settings have changed' (even though I have not changed them). If I then click on 'apply all' in that pop up window, the correct 'default settings' get applied for the project.
I have this with other settings as well. For example, with a new project the video loaded always ends up in 4:3 ratio. Then again, when I then go to 'Default Settings', click on 'Ok' and 'Apply All' the ratio gets set to 16:9 as expected.
The 7.5.0.132 version linked to in this thread [1] fixed the issue, but getting the latest official version from the website [2] re-introduced the issue.
Thanks.

Hello,
Latest ßeta build is 133 --> https://download.vso-software.fr/archiv ... .0.133.exe
Also available as an UPDATE directly in the software.
I cannot reproduce those "Fixed issues for me" in Build 133.
Please confirm you still have issues with .133 then we can advise VSO about it...

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Well I download the advertised 133 build there (which downloaded itself as '133b'), but when I installed and ran it, it advertised itself as another older version. Which still had the same issue. So either VSO reintroduced the bug, or an older version was advertised as 133 on the official downloads page but actually downloaded an older version instead. Who knows ?
With such obvious bugs/faults, I think I will stick with the latest production quality version 083 instead. Let me know when the new beta is ready for general release. Thanks.

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
On the top bar, is says v7.5.0.133 or another build after it installed ? (133b.exe)
I “updated” from Build 131 to 133 (update available and it says .133 for me.
Cannot reproduce neither of those 2 bugs with .133
This 64 bits version is 100% better than the old 32 bits on so many levels, just sad to hear it doesn’t work as expected for your.

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Hi Cougar_II
I was going to suggest clean install to Abazada. But for info if doing any future testing.
When click on VSO link on vso web page to download vers 133, after download and then view the properties of the downloaded file, it says version 131 with digital sig 21/5/25
Then when install from this file and get to page where clean install option used to exist, this option no longer there.
Also with version 133, after setting the project name, if change and save any of the settings, the project name reverts to the file name of the first video added. In the non 64bit version, the project name does not change. And also does not change in ConvertxtoHD3

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Hi,
I got it from here : https://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/
The website says it's '7.5.0.133'
And it downloads as 'vsoConvertXtoDVD7_win64_setup.exe'
But when I then install it, and run it, the top left of the titlebar of the window says it is '7.5.0.131', and the bugs I described are present.

Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
Hi,
Have you tried to download the .133 build link I provided ?
Also try to use Update from the software, in settings i have auto check for updates and access beta versions.
It should let you update to .133.
The above link downloads the “Release Version” wich is probably .131
To get betas, click on history and you can download each version you wish, where I got the .133 download
Use the provided link, and advise please…
UPDATE: Ohh I think I know what you mean now…
I always get my versions here —> https://www.vso-software.fr/products/co ... istory.php

@Cougar_II :
Ok, when I download from here : https://www.vso-software.fr/products/co ... istory.php
I do get the real 133, and cannot reproduce the bugs I mentioned earlier with that version.
But I do notice another bug with 133: I have the defaults for 'audio' and 'subtitles' set to 'English' in the settings. But when I add a new video, these are both set to 'und' (whatever that means) in the new project, even though I have the defaults set to something else. This does not happen with the 7.0.0.83 (32-bit) version. Can you reproduce this ?

@yoyo57 :
Could you describe the steps you take (what you click on, and what you add, or what you change, etc.) when you see the bug: "with version 133, after setting the project name, if change and save any of the settings, the project name reverts to the file name of the first video added."
Because I cannot reproduce it with 133, but that may just be because I am not taking the exact same steps as you do.

Probably the 32 bits ‘Assumed’ and now the 64 bits reads languages flags in the audio and subtitles “MAYBE” but goes und if no flags ?
That’s a question for VSO.
I always check and set manually when needed…
Re: Beta 7.5.0.131
The 32-bits version does not 'assume' anything, for that version I also changed the default settings to 'English' because both the audio and subtitles for almost anything I convert/burn are English (so I do not have to manually set them myself all the time).Cougar_II wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 2:18 pm Und = undetermined…

What worries me though about all these very obvious bugs that you notice almost immediately when you use the software, is that VSO did not catch them themselves during Q&A/Quality Assurance ? If these obvious ones are still in there gone unnoticed, what other bugs might still be in there as well ?
